FREE Archery Merit Badge Class provided by the Nevada Department of Wildlife CLARK COUNTY SHOOTING COMPLEX 11357 N DECATUR LAS VEGAS, NEVADA 89131 HELD AT THE EDUCATION CENTER | The Nevada Department of Wildlife is offering Boy Scouts an opportunity to earn their Archery Shooting merit badge on December 6th and 7th at the Clark County Shooting Complex Education Center. Boy Scouts will need a parent the morning of the class to fill out and sign a waiver of responsibility. Scouts will also need a signed merit badge application (blue card) from their scoutmaster, and a completed Archery shooting worksheet or workbook before coming to class. Seating is limited (12) and all scouts must register by emailing name to hstuckey@ndow.org. Bring your lunch, drinks, and dress accordingly as we will be spending time outdoors. | 2015 World Jamboree In 2015, more than 30,000 Scouts and leaders from 161 countries around the world will converge on Kirara-hama, Yamaguchi, Japan, for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. The event will provide opportunities to raise awareness about global issues, explore the environment, participate in community service, make friends from around the world, and deepen understanding of developments in science and technology. The world jamboree is a unique opportunity for participants to experience an exciting program of activities, including: Global Development Village, City of Science, Cross Road of Culture, and the Peace Program. Participants will live and learn with fellow Scouts from around the world. They will be housed in tents along with the BSA contingent but will soon venture out to mingle with tens of thousands of people for two weeks of activities and adventure. Calling all Scouts with partials completions on Swimming and Shooting Sports Merit Badges! Swimming First Aid Lifesaving Merit Badge Classes | Call Erin Clark at the Municipal Pool 702-229-6309. She is a registered Merit Badge Counselor and will help you complete the Swimming Merit Badge. A small fee for entrance will need to paid. The new schedule for the Spring Classes is out. Call Dan Lord at Silver State Shooting Sports for completion of shooting sports merit badge. He is a registered Merit Badge Counselor and will help you complete the merit badge. The Silver State Shooting will provide ammunition and rifle. There is a small range fee. You must make an appointment for signing off the merit badges.
