What is Leader Specific Training?
Leader Specific trainings are position specific training courses intended to provide leaders with the information, tools, and basic skills to begin conducting successful Scouting programs.
There are leader specific trainings required for each key leadership role in the Pack, Troop, Team, and Crew. Each training is tailored to the program for the age of boys being served. For example; if you are a Cubmaster, you should be attending New Program Cub Training. If you are an Associate Crew Advisor, you should be attending the Venturing Leader Specific Training. One of the requirements to be fully trained is that leaders are required to attend position specific training. To see what it takes to be a fully trained leader click here.
